Queen Mosadi is having a tough time accepting that her reign has ended, and Otsile follows his heart despite the odds stacked against him. Moseki and his daughter Dipuo celebrate being the new first family, while former Queen Mosadi and her family are forced to watch from outside of the palace walls. Mosadi tries to convince Tumelo to do what is best for the family and kingdom and that may include sleeping with Dipuo, and Moseki isn’t impressed that Dipuo thinks her job as queen is all fun and games rather than a serious position. Dipuo has second thoughts as the anointing ritual draws closer, and Sephiri worries that the royal bloodline will be tarnished if Tumelo doesn’t participate in the ritual.
