Even though he has a bachelor’s degree in Business & Finance, David Giuntoli was never going into the corporate world. His character in drama series A Million Little Things (2018- current) also doesn’t have an office job – David plays music teacher Eddie, which he says is a lot of fun because he loves music almost as much as he loves acting.

He’s originally from sports-mad 1 Milwaukee, Wisconsin but never got into sports for one specific reason: “I was an awkward little guy. I had a big head and running around a basketball court wouldn’t have worked,” he says. The 38-year-old had a growth 2 spurt in grade 10 and has been the same height (1.8m) ever since. He claims that he’s never watched 3 MTV but his first job in acting was on the channel – he was cast on reality show Road Rules (1995-2007) in 2003 and lived in a recreational vehicle with five other strangers as they drove across the state for a series of challenges. David is best known as Detective 4 Nick Burkhardt in dark fantasy series Grimm (2011-2017). He loved the role so much that he bought his character’s car when filming wrapped. He’s completely deaf in his left ear 5 but has never revealed how he lost his hearing. The only thing he will say is that “it makes seating at restaurants a nightmare because everyone else gets seated so that I can hear conversations”. Unlike Eddie, David’s 6 only marital problem with his pregnant actress wife Bitsie Tulloch (Eve in Grimm) is that she has “the strangest food cravings. Luckily we have everything in our two pantries”. They split time between LA and Oregon.
