Ed’s letter
The preview edition has been a tvplus staple for years. It gives readers a peek at what’s coming up so that you can plan your viewing diary for your favourite shows and new exciting content. Some soaps don’t shoot that far in advance, like Muvhango and Mzansi Magic’s shows, but not one has refused to share preview info. Until now. 7de Laan were firm in their refusal to give us even a glimpse at the Feb and March info, no matter how much we asked. The writers and producers also couldn’t believe that we’d ever had it in past preview editions. I’ll admit that I’m speechless. Understandably soaps want to protect their plots and keep surprises under wraps because they fear it will influence their viewership negatively, but I believe that we provide just enough of a teaser to keep you, our readers and TV viewers, glued to your screens for everything to play out. Unfortunately 7de Laan don’t see it that way.
