Keeping the lid on
JANUARY
Zitha desperately tries to save her relationship with Smanga but his mind is pre- occupied with saving his family’s business Ezweni from financial ruin. Gadaffi goes on the warpath following a phonecall, and Lesedi is in a good mood thanks to her friend Amy. Newcomer Ayanda does everything in her power to avoid her ex-lover Tau, and Crazy J is enjoying every moment of his social media fame.
FEBRUARY
Lesedi does her best to impress her new love interest, and Mazwi knows that Sphe is lying to him about where she is and what she’s doing. Crazy J’s prank angers his cousin Smanga, and Tau storms out of the office in a blind rage. Tshidi’s alarm bells ring after a chat with Mazwi about their spouses, and Zitha’s revenge plan is about to blow up in her face. Smanga visits his former uncle-in-law Tau, who at the same time has to deal with his mom Zondiwe meddling in his relationship with Ayanda. Cosmo and Mrekza’s secret mancave is under threat, and Zitha feels like she’s lost control of both her personal and professional lives. Crazy J’s bad choices continue to anger his family but he’s about to find out first-hand that he’s not as special as he thinks, and Mazwi thinks that he might’ve made a mistake going back to Sphe – again. Gog’Flo refuses to let anyone talk down to her and she puts her family members in their places, and sibling rivalry resurfaces between Tau and Tshidi.
MARCH
Running Ezweni on his own proves to be much more challenging than Smanga anticipated thanks to crisis after crisis, and Gadaffi realises that he’s got to change his womanising ways if he wants to keep his marriage with Tshidi from crumbling. Crazy J is punished for sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong, and Sphe finds out the hard way that getting into business with someone like Gadaffi was a bad idea. Ayanda doesn’t want anything to do with Tshidi, and Zitha’s test results indicate a serious health issue. Lerato acknowledges her feelings for Mpho are stronger than ever despite their break-up, and undercover cop Pele continues his quest to arrest every criminal in sight.
