Unity, family, hilarity

-

JANUARY

Two exciting new characters start to make their impact. Foxy financial forensic investigator Manqoba Dlamini (Melusi Yeni) comes to Maluju to dig into Sanil’s mischief from Friday 18 January during Imbewu’s 200th episode. And Zithulele’s ex-high school sweetheart Liyana (Natasha Thahane), the brilliant, beautiful daughter of the Rampersads’ housekeeper Thando, first appears on Friday 25 January. Ngcolosi approaches Shria for help taking down Sanil and reveals that he has photographs showing Sanil engaging in illegal activities. Khanyo confronts kaMadonsela about what she’s up to with the chart that she’s made about MaZulu, and MaZulu finds muti in her pillow. Zithulele later advises Liyana to fib on her résumé so that she can land a bar-tending job at Emsamo.

FEBRUARY

Yuveer sacrifices himself after Ngcolosi places Sanil’s crooked dealings in the spotlight, but Sanil is forced to scurry when Phunyuka confesses to Nganono’s murder rather than carry out Sanil’s new orders. Ngcolosi reaches out to reunite his family and to seek Pranav’s help in rebuilding Maluju Oil. Zakithi fights her feelings for Manqoba, and MaNdlovu catches kaMadonsela dosing MaZulu with muti. Pastor Sipho returns and chips away at Khanyo’s confidence as he abuses his power to pursue, harass and seduce the church women. Zithulele helps Liyana at Emsamo and realises that while he still has feelings for her, her current boyfriend might still have a thing for his own ex, Zithulele’s half-sister Futhi. Shukela is first in line for a chance at the microphone when Thu Sheleni persuades Zithulele to host a comedy night at Emsamo.

MARCH

Zakithi had better watch her back – both Maharaj and Ngcolosi are out to frame her as Ngcolosi tries to wrestle back his position as CEO, and Maluju loses a huge contract. Ngcolosi ditches his girlfriend after MaZulu urges him to come home. Manqoba teams up with Shria, and Zakithi tricks Maharaj into a confession, opening one of the Rampersads’ eyes to how she has been conned. Zakithi gets a romantic marriage proposal, Khanyo confides in Phakade about how sleazy Sipho has been, and Futhi launches her own #MeToo movement after finding out what happened to Khanyo, despite Phakade’s misgivings and Khanyo’s anger. Zithulele brings in a sizzling hot new comedy talent but jealous Shukela (whose jokes are terrible) starts a feud that drags the Bhengu family through the mud in front of a live audience. And Nerupa seeks a divorce, then suggests that Shria join her on Tinder – but guess who else is on the dating and mating app!
