Settling affairs & making an escape
APRIL
Lesedi finds out that her ex-boyfriend Mpho has befriended her current love interest Crazy J and worries that the two will discuss her. Detective Pele has a lead in Skhumbuzo’s murder case, and Crazy J hosts a dinner party with Mpho and Lesedi at the Moroka mansion. Tau is deceived into signing a release form for an online video that could destroy his business relationships, and Cosmo considers hiring a hitman to cover his tracks in the murder investigation. Ayanda tries to avoid Tau after their business trip, and Lucy begs badguy Jack to help her. Pele compromises his own investigation, and Uncle Kabisi forbids Crazy J from spending time with Mpho after he’s beaten up in the township. Sphe is later given the cold shoulder by her husband Mazwi and his new business partner Gadaffi.
MAY
Mazwi orders Sphe to go into hiding until he and Gadaffi are finished with their business, and Tau tries his luck with Ayanda again but he might’ve ruined any chance of a relationship – for good this time. Mpho’s hopes of forging a relationship with his adoptive dad Gadaffi fall apart, and Tshidi cries her way out of trouble. The police get a tip-off about Sphe’s hiding place, and Mpho’s new friends send him to spy on a family member.
A mystery virus hits town, leaving Sphe overwhelmed with patients at the hospital, and Jack gives Zitha an ultimatum regarding their future. A video of Smanga behaving out of character goes viral, and Tshidi thinks that she may be carrying Jack’s baby after their one-night-stand. There is panic later at the hospital when the much-needed medication doesn’t seem to be working on the ailing patients who are dying one by one.
