Is the end in sight?

Gabisile blows her cover and her pastor husband Qhabanga discovers that she killed his son Khehla and ex-wife Nomcebo.

-

The walls are slowly closing in on First Lady of KwaMashu Kingdom Church Gabisile (Baby Cele). Just when she thought that she’d put her past sins behind her – after killing her stepson Khehla (Thobani Nzuza) in selfdefence in 2019 – Detective Yamkela Mpambani (Jet Novuka) arrives to question her about her involvement. “Gabisile is terrified as the police recently found Khehla’s body in the church basement. Her fingerprints were at the crime scene,” explains Baby.

Realising that the police are about to arrest her, Gabisile prepares to confess, but she is stopped in her tracks by her pastor husband Qhabanga’s (Siyabonga Shibe) chilling statement. “He tells her that he is going to avenge Khehla’s murder and make the person responsible pay, leaving Gabi shaking like a leaf,” adds Baby. And her fear of Qhabanga keeping his promise may just come true.

MURDER SHE WROTE

Gabi’s guilt takes over as Khehla wasn’t the only person she killed. To hide her first kill, she partnered with her gangster son Sibonelo (Wiseman Mncube) in July last year and they killed Khehla’s mother Nomcebo (Nombulelo Mhlongo), who had just rekindled her marriage with Qhabanga at the time. “Because Sibonelo was an accomplice in both murders, he will go down with Gabisile if the cops uncover the truth,” says Baby, whose character summon Sibonelo to the church to plan their escape. “Unbeknown to the pair, Qhabanga overhears their conversation and he’s plotting to get rid of Gabisile for good,” reveals the actress.

BITING THE DUST

The odds are stacked against Gabisile and while going over the lie that she’s going to tell Qhabanga, Yamkela shows up at the church. He claims that he has concrete evidence to put Gabisile behind bars. “Gabisile’s jaw drops to the ground,” says Baby, who explains that while she’s not arrested, Gabisile tells the detective to meet her at the church the next day. She’s planning to confess her crimes in front of the congregation and Qhabanga, thinking that “if she reveals the murders to an audience, Qhabanga will spare her life,” says Baby.

But in a plot twist, Qhabanga stops Gabisile in her tracks and confronts her. We’ve been sworn to secrecy over what happens next between the couple, but Baby teases that it’s going to be worth the watch. “Qhabanga won’t let Gabisile off the hook for ruining his dreams of a perfect family. He’s out for blood!”
