A dead pilot walking?

Elvis the pilot’s days are numbered when he tries to blackmail Lindiwe into marrying him.

-

There’s an unwritten rule that everyone in Refilwe Township and the surrounding suburbs adheres to: never cross mining tycoon Lindiwe Dlamini-Dikana (Sindi Dlathu). If history teaches us anything at all, it’s that her rivals wind up six feet under, without their toes and limbs. She’s that evil. But pilot Elvis Baloyi (Mzwandile Ngubeni, Vuyo in drama series Umlilo, 2015-2016) completely missed the memo when he flew into town, and he has been ruffling Lindiwe’s feathers since season 4 started at the end of February

He stormed into Lindiwe’s office and told her that he was flying the helicopter that Lindiwe shot out of the sky, leading to her daughter Tumi’s (Larona Moagi) death. “Elvis gives Lindiwe an ultimatum: divorce your police commissioner husband Zweli (Hlomla Dandala) and marry me. Or else I’ll bring your deadly secret to light,” explains Mzwandile. Lindiwe turns his marriage proposal down and offers Elvis millions as an alternative. But the pilot is sticking to his guns.

“Elvis is playing a dangerous game and he is pushing his luck. He won’t back down until Lindiwe agrees to become Mrs Baloyi,” reveals the actor.

BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE

Elvis is under the impression that he is better suited for Lindiwe than uptight

Zweli, who is oblivious to her wicked antics. “Elvis is addicted to Lindiwe’s power. She’s influential and he believes that together they can rule the world,” says Mzwandile. But sadly for Elvis, the prospect of marrying Lindiwe is just a pipe dream. She isn’t in the business of being pushed around. In her community, she makes all the rules – not the other way around. “Eventually Elvis accepts the cash, but after a few days he returns to torment Lindiwe, driving her to get rid of him once and for all,” adds Mzwandile.

HOW FAR WILL SHE GO?

Frustrated and fuming, Lindiwe shocks viewers and her protégé nephew Zolani (Lawrence Maleka) when she reveals her detailed plot against the pilot. “She’s had enough of Elvis’s threats,” says Mzwandile. “He refuses to leave the province, and worse is that he’s been buying sports cars and flashy clothes with the money that Lindiwe gave him for his silence, raising Zweli’s suspicions even more,” adds the actor who won’t reveal more about Lindiwe’s murder plan. “Lindiwe is out for blood but Elvis is just as cunning when it comes to achieving his objective. Neither will surrender, and in the end, only one will prevail.” Going by her past sins though, it’s safe to say that Elvis has bitten off more than he can chew by picking a fight with lethal Lindiwe.
