Season 2 M-Net (*101) 22:35 Sci-fi

Jordan Peele cameos as himself in rebooted sci-fi series The Twilight Zone (2019-now) as well as being executive producer, writer and director. “Season 1 was intimidating. I think we found our voices early on, and season 2 has been easier to put together. One advantage we’ve had this time round is that so many talented and creative people have come to us with ideas, bringing us content to use. And the list of actors calling and messaging me for roles has been ridiculous,” says the 42-year-old, who’s best known for his sketch comedy series Key & Peele (2012-2015).

1 Jordan watched the original series of The Twilight Zone (1959-1964) as reruns when he was a teenager. And now that he’s in the big seat, he’s been given access to a lot more. “There are months of film from the original version with Rod Serling as the narrator. I’ve absorbed as much as possible and there’s so much more,” adds Jordan.

2 The actor eloped with Chelsea Peretti (Gina in cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, 2013-now) in 2016 after three years of dating and they’ve got a four-year-old son named Beaumont Gino.

3 He wanted to be a puppeteer and majored in puppetry at New York art school Sarah Lawrence College, saying: “I was obsessed with kids show

The Muppets (1955-now). It was something I couldn’t get bad grades for.”

4 Jordan quit full-time acting in 2017 because of comedy film The Emoji Movie. “I was offered the role of Poop. I thought, ‘This is what my career has become – poop.’ I’m done.”
