Thathi was furious with the Ntokozo situation, and Langa made a stand against both sides of his family. Mam’Sonto was told that one of her thugs had gone to the police for a plea deal, and Ntokozo was reminded of his crime.

5 – 7 MAY

There’s an impassioned plea at the start of the court case, and Teddy can’t lie any longer and reveals that his foster brother Ntokozo told Langa what he’d done. Thathi and Mam’Sonto take a significant knock during the trial, and an unlisted witness appears in court and stuns onlookers. Melusi tries to balance his two jobs as a father and as a school principal, and the community sends Mam’Sonto a clear message. Ntokozo is surprised when he isn’t expelled, and the witness changes their story in court.

10 – 14 MAY

Ntokozo proves his mettle in court by not revealing that Mam’Sonto ordered the hijacking, and Langa is ready to play hardball and he pulls a gun on his half-brother Ntokozo and orders him to confess to killing Langa’s fake dad Mbongeni. The judge makes a ruling, and Langa is willing to do anything to honour dead Mbongeni. Mam’ Sonto realises that her fight is far from over, and there is bad news for Melusi from the governing body at his school. Melusi and Ntokozo clash again, Langa leaves a note before disappearing, and Mam’Sonto doesn’t know if it’s worth reopening her tavern. Ntokozo tries to get

17 – 18 MAY

Mam’Sonto tries to get Ntokozo released from jail, and Teddy and Zodwa don’t know what to make of Don begging for forgiveness.
