Bedroom to boardroom

Kabisi sends Tshidi packing – but she won’t leave without setting a few fires first.

-

We’ve seen over the year that powerful and intimidating Kabisi (Mpho Molepo) can be quite forgiving. But after wife Tshidi’s (Letoya Makhene) involvement in sourcing his lifesaving kidney on the illegal red market – resulting in Tamryn’s (Danica Jones) awful death – Kabisi finds her actions unforgivable. We’ve seen Tshidi try every trick in the book for her hubby’s forgiveness, but he would have none of it. And despite their marriage originally being one of convenience – Tshidi needed Kabisi when the late father of her child Jack Mabaso (Vusi Kunene) threatened her life – Letoya admits “over time, they have grown fond of each other”. But now she’s more than ready to move on!

WIFE SCORNED

With her marriage essentially over, Tshidi is no longer playing nice. “She is power hungry and doesn’t like to lose,” says Letoya. And now she’s set her sights on cementing her place at #Ezweni. So the battle for control of the boardroom begins. But Tshidi realises that she can’t do this on her own. To claim the throne as queen of #Ezweni, Tshidi needs majority shares, but she can only do that by winning Sphe (Pearl Monama) and ex-hubby Gadaffi’s (Vuyo Dabula) trust and shares. With Gadaffi and Tshidi still not seeing eye-to-eye, getting him on her side seems almost impossible. However, Gadaffi is more than eager to get aboard the Tshidi gravy train. “He immediately supports her,” reveals the actress. “He’s also power hungry and loves the idea of bringing the Morokas down.”

RAUNCHY REUNION?

As we see Gadaffi and Tshidi plot their way to the top, things are bound to get a bit heated between the two. “They are two exes who never stopped loving each other,” Letoya reminds us. “For Tshidi, it’s exciting working with Gadaffi. He’s really the love of her life.”

Does this mean we could possibly see the duo give their love another chance? Letoya isn’t willing to reveal too much, but she doesn’t dismiss the possibility of Gadaffi and Tshidi hooking up again. “It’s a maybe… A lot has happened. They’ve both been with other people and they’ve changed a lot. Plus, Tshidi still has a soft spot for Kabisi.” Somehow, we can’t help but expect things to get steamy between our former lovers…
