Durban Gen hospital’s lead surgeon Thabo considered checking into rehab to deal with his alcohol addiction after he was suspended, paramedics Thembi and MacGyver clashed, and Sne chased after Lindelani’s heart.
IN THIS ISSUE
Thabo is on a mission to turn his life around after his childhood friend Andile reveals that he was recently diagnosed with cancer, and MacGyver returns to the hospital to fight for his job following his suspension. Zondo suspects that something is amiss regarding her pregnant twin patients, and Nomalanga refuses to give both Thabo and MacGyver their jobs back without proving that they’re fit to return to work. The twins continue lying to the nurses about their condition, and Andile offers Thabo help to quit his drinking habit. Lindelani and Sne can’t keep their hands off each other, and the twins’ concurrent births don’t go as effortlessly as anticipated.
Thabo tries to convince Nomalanga that he’s in the right frame of mind to operate on Andile and remove the tumour, but he’s turned away, and one of the twins is surprised to learn that she was never pregnant. There’s a sexually transmitted disease (STD) making the rounds among the nurses, and Thabo is desperate to beat his addiction so that he can save Andile’s life. The STD continues to spread like wildfire, leading Nomalanga and Nobuhle into providing the nurses with an impromptu sex-education class, and Thabo thinks of a way to conduct Andile’s surgery, but his sobriety doesn’t last long. Calvin’s past fling meanwhile is admitted at the hospital.
