Mandla gets to the bottom of Ace’s murder, Mpumi’s career continues to blossom while her hubby Donald’s crumbles, and Papi hides in plain sight.

Papi is alarmed when he learns that the Mchunus are searching for Ace, Donald takes out his frustration on his loved ones, and the cracks in Mandla and Puleng’s marriage reappear after he accuses her of murder. Donald is desperate to have a baby but Mpumi is too concerned with growing her interior design business, Mandla recalls Papi and Puleng’s affair, and Mdu needs to find Ace.

Donald comes clean to Mpumi about his failing career, Phakade refuses to return home until Mdu accepts his romance with NJ, and Mandla hides valuable information from Puleng. Mpumi stands up to her meddling mother-in-law Sarah, Mandla antagonises Puleng, and Mdu gives up on searching for Ace and he declares him dead. Puleng throws Papi under the bus when she’s confronted about trying to kill Mandla, Tebatso and Phakade climb through their gang’s ranks, and Donald is envious of Mpumi’s success. Puleng deflects from discussing her hand in Mandla’s disappearance and amnesia, Phakade and Tebatso complete their first mission as Robert’s protégés, and Mpumi refuses to be intimidated by Sarah. Seipati relishes in Puleng’s anguish, Tebatso lands in hot water when his captive escapes, and Donald drift further apart from his wife. Meanwhile, Tebatso rushes to help his sister Seipati hide a murder weapon and cover up her killer crime from the community.

Two lovers are in despair following a huge loss, and the Kubekas realise that they’re facing a massive crisis.
