Asanda and Charleston’s marriage reached breaking point after she discovered that he kept the church offerings all to himself, a guest ruined Lerato and Bafana’s wedding, and Mgedeza and the all-women gang proceeded with the car heist in DiepCity’s season 1 finale.

IN THIS ISSUE

Thandiwe is called to the police station for questionin­g, Nox and her friends, who call themselves the Wrong Turns, hide evidence from the night of the car heist, and a new cop arrives in Alexandra Township to put criminals in prison when season 2 starts. Thandiwe is angry that she’s caught in her daughter Nox’s criminal activities, Mgedeza fights for his life in a hospital bed, and the Wrong Turns remain a step ahead of the police during the car heist investigat­ion – or so they think. Thandiwe gives Nox a piece of her mind, Mgedeza wakes up from his coma but he’s told that he is temporaril­y paralysed, and two loved ones make amends.

The police arrest Mgedeza, while Nox and Thandiwe agree to bury the hatchet but not all issues are fixed between the mother and daughter. Maureen worries about her family’s future with her husband Mgedeza in prison, Bonga and Thandiwe get into a disagreeme­nt about Nox, and Mgedeza gets a taste of his own medicine in prison. Nox gets her life back on track, and

The Wrong Turns keep a low profile with the police after them. Mgedeza receives news that reduces him to tears while he’s out of his cell, and Maureen reaches out to help a loved one in the hopes that she’s not too late. Nox considers turning against her friends when tough times become unbearable, Lerato smuggles a phone into prison, and Mgedeza continues being bullied in prison and he doesn’t like it.
