In 2050, hopelessly romantic photographer Sophie (Kim Catrall) tells her son the story of how she met his father, which takes us back to the year 2022. There we meet the younger Sophie (Hilary Duff) and her close-knit group of friends who’re all in their 20s and still making bad (but exciting) choices as they figure out life and love in an age of dating apps, pandemics, and political and economic chaos. Look out for some familiar sets from original comedy series How I Met Your Mother.
