Ed’s letter
It’s not always easy getting the timing right with our soap stories. Yes, we get the basic info on what’s happening beforehand from the PRs, but most soaps are terrified of having something published before it actually happens onscreen. They feel that if you read that something will be going down – like Azwindini in Muvhango (p27) wanting the replace the throne with a coffin – that viewers won’t tune in because they think they know it all. And sometimes we have just a bit of bad luck with timing, like the 7de Laan wedding that happened a day before this magazine is on street. It would’ve given too much away if we said a word about it in our previous edition. But with every story, even if you feel it’s not exactly on time, we put our unique tvplus spin and give you insight on why things are happening and how it affects the other characters.
