Ed’s letter
It’s been some time now, but it still feels like I’m sitting at the spectacular DStv Mzansi Choice Viewers Awards. Shô, to say everyone looked fabulous is an understatement. I had to keep reminding myself to keep my mouth closed! I was dressed for warmth and not glitz, and I don’t know how the stars strutted that red carpet in their slinky outfits, but wow did they look great! I have a very soft spot for Connie Ferguson because I’ve worked with her for years, and it was so moving when she dedicated her award for Favourite Personality to her husband Shona who passed away last year. She was the belle of the ball in her princessdress. And I have newfound respect for Vusi Kunene as he posed tirelessly outside the venue with fans who couldn’t get in to the event. Smile after smile, he was nothing like cut-throat Funani on House Of Zwide (see p28).
