Layla, do something with your ratty hair please. – Christine Diehl, per email

Hi Christine. I see you haven’t taken me up on my challenge to say something nice about a character or actor. Why do you think Layla’s hair looks ratty? I’ve always admired Natasha Sutherland’s (who plays Layla) good looks. I think it must be very difficult to be in the public eye every day. Some days after a rough night with the kids or long hours,

I look terrible the next day and there’s not enough make-up to fix it. I often wonder what you would say about me if we should bump into each other…

Dear Lucia,

Hi there, I’m a 72-year-old senior citizen and so loved my soapie Days Of Our Lives. I looked forward to it all day. A way of escaping for a little while. Can’t e.tv find it in their hearts to slot the soapie in somewhere?

Do a bit of juggling of programmes. Many people are missing it. And I know many of my friends also do. Please see what you can do.

The other thing, could e.tv bring the next in the series called Castle. It was about a writer who helps a lady cop solve murders etc. It ended on a really big cliffhanger. What happened next? We’d like to know. It was always in a 22:00 slot. Again, please see what you can do. Many, many thanks. Regards – Vonnie per email

Dear Vonnie, thanks so much for your kind mail! I ask the e.tv people every time I see them if they won’t bring back Days Of Our Lives. It also just doesn’t feel the same to me since it has been scrapped. I will keep asking, but unfortunately I don’t think we will see it again on e.tv. And I do hope Castle continues soon. I’ll make a reminder to also put that on my wish-list for e.tv. I like the show too. I also enjoy the writer in Castle, Richard, played by Nathan Fillion (he’s now playing John Nolan in the cop series The Rookie). If you ever have the change to watch

The Rookie, do yourself a favour and give it a try – I’m a really big fan of Nathan’s work.

Hi guys, hope you are well. I had a big problem this weekend, none of the shops had the tvplus and I am mad. Maybe you could tell me if there was a problem? Pick n Pay had a few Afrikaans but no English at any of the shops. PLEASE explain. – Anonymous per SMS There wasn’t a distribution issue that I was aware of. It would help if I knew in which area it was? The magazine is on shelf every second Friday, meaning this issue should be out Friday 8 July. But often it happens that the shops pack out the magazines later than the Friday (to my great aggravation). That is why you will see that our TV guides, for example, don’t fall on the shelf date, but rather the Wednesday after the magazine is on shelf, meaning this issue’s guides will run from Wednesday 13 to Tuesday 26 July. We do that specifically to cater for people who get the magazine when it’s been on shelf for a few days. We did try to call you to find out more – please feel free to send me an email with your details so I can find out more.

tvplus, please help! I can only find the Afrikaans tvplus Blokraaiboek. Not an English one. Where can I get it? – Lily per SMS

Hi Lily, unfortunately this specific blockbuster magazine is only available in Afrikaans. It was a tough decision to make, but given the market we wanted to test the sales of the Afrikaans edition first before we do an English one. I do so hope that we can get to do one in English too. I’m still holding thumbs for the sales figures from our very first blockbuster book before we know if it will be an annual publication. Maybe get one for the sudukos and the wordsearch games? I know I’m biased but I do feel ours is the best.
