Sarah is unaware that someone is watching her when she visits Papi, Japan falls victim to peer pressure, and Mandla is faced with another personal crisis. An unlikely person discovers Sarah and Papi’s affair, Japan is taken to the hospital, and Gagashe uncovers information about his sister Letlotlo’s death. Japan fights for his life in hospital, Mandla receives a blow, and Sarah’s daughter-in-law Mpumi hides her infidelity from the rest of the Nondumos. Puleng and Mandla’s lives change overnight, the cracks in Gagashe and Seipati’s relationship come out, and Mpumi feels the burden of hiding a loved one’s secret.

Gagashe goes on a wild goose chase to find Letlotlo’s killer, Mandla and Puleng are forced to accept their new reality, and Papi’s day of reckoning arrives. Japan’s life hangs in the balance, Seipati’s fairytale romance is under attack, and Mandla financially cuts off his stepson Mohau. Poppy puts Brenda in her place, Robert is shattered when he’s told about Sarah’s affair, and Mohau prepares to move out of the Cele home and stand on his own. Gagashe finds evidence proving that Puleng killed Letlotlo, a sextape threatens to destroy a family, and Poppy makes a difficult decision to make ends meet. Robert confronts Sarah about her infidelity, Mandla and Puleng stand to lose all their belongings, and Poppy goes down a dark path to provide for her family. Sarah fights to save her marriage, Poppy is in trouble, and Mandla blames everyone but himself for his predicament.
