Ed’s letter
It’s not often that we write about an Afrikaans series in the English magazine, but we just had to make an exception with Ludik (p14). It’s definitely a must-see and it’s so South African that you won’t have to concentrate too hard on the subtitles to follow the story. I’m astonished at how many stars there are in the show, complete with Hollywood’s Arnold Vosloo! The same goes for the Jan Braai story (p16). Yes, the show is Afrikaans, but you can win a voucher to munch on his new pizza!
And there’s still loads of exciting content to look forward to besides your favourite soaps (I can’t wait to see how the baby gets delivered in Scandal!, p27). Don’t miss Queens Of Mzansi (p17), My Kitchen Rules (p18) and my best: Fooled By Love (p19). If you’re tired of local, give Our House (p15) a try. I love a whodunit mystery.
