Season 1 M-Net (*101) 20:30 Episode 1 (doccie) Thursday 25 August Valentine’s day 2013 is a date most want to forget because instead of being a day about love, it was a day about death – model Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead by her Paralympic sprinter boyfriend Oscar Pistorius in his Pretoria mansion.
Nine years later and with gender-based violence more prevalent than ever, M-Net will première this three-part series during Women’s Month with the full support and approval of Reeva’s parents Barry and June Steenkamp, who gave filmmaker Warren Batchelor from WB Productions full access.
“We fully endorse Warren and his team to bring out the truth in this documentary and show the world who Reeva really was,” say June and
Barry in a statement. The docuseries gives life to Reeva’s existence through intimate interviews with her parents as well as close friends and family, showing that a beloved woman was taken in the prime of her life. And an in-depth analysis of what happened that fateful night will also be featured, exploring what really happened to Reeva.
