The producers hope that viewers will be educated on the kind of red flags to look out for when falling in love to prevent them from being exploited. “One of the common denominators is that people rushed into things too quickly,” explains Thabang. “Although some foolers play the long game to earn their partner’s trust, it’s important for people to not rush into love and be blinded by emotions. I think that the biggest lesson is to not give your partner your bank card, share your earnings or take up loans for them without drawing up a formal agreement to protect yourself.”
