Kabisi clap back

Getting #Ezweni back from his rival Nkosiyabo is Kabisi’s greatest mission in life.

-

Kabisi (Mpho Molepo) is raging and he wants his CEO position back from Nkosiyabo (Muzi Mthabela), who stole his family’s business, #Ezweni. And he’ll go as low as he needs to do it,” says Mpho. And he’s not joking, adds the actor. “Kabisi has an incriminating video of Nkosiyabo’s niece Sphe (Pearl Monama) and he blackmails Nkosiyabo, ordering him to hand over his shares at #Ezweni, pack his bags and leave.” Kabisi knows that Nkosiyabo loves his niece and he’d do anything to protect her. “He gives Nkosiyabo some time to think about it, but when Nkosiyabo doesn’t meet the deadline, he sets up a meeting with a journalist,” explains Mpho, whose character doesn’t care that he’s ruining Sphe’s reputation. At one stage, she was married to Kabisi’s nephew Mazwi Moroka (Musa Ngema), so it’s two birds with one stone!

MOROKA PROTECTOR

As the head of the Moroka home, Kabisi feels it’s his duty to protect the family and its businesses. “He believes that since the Morokas are the majority shareholders at #Ezweni, they should be running it still. They started the business, so one of them should be captain of that ship. Not Nkosiyabo Cele or anyone else. Kabisi is upset that Nkosiyabo outsmarted him and took the CEO position, and he doesn’t care if his family approve of his methods of getting it back,” says Mpho.

But Kabisi’s self-serving agenda will catch up to him and his family are furious when the article on Sphe’s video goes viral. “Mazwi is unhappy that Kabisi would throw the mother of his child under the bus and he is ready to move out,” says Mpho. “He loves his family, and doesn’t have a wife or children, so Mazwi moving out leaves him feeling lonely and sad.” But regretting his decision is something completely different to feeling alone – this is Kabisi, after all!

BELOW THE BELT

But Nkosiyabo won’t take this lying down, and he launches a full-scale attack on the Morokas. “He goes to a journalist himself and tries to get an article written exposing the Moroka family’s shortcomings as honourable married people. But it backfires and the journalist ends up writing a very complimentary article, painting Mazwi and his family as victims,” explains Mpho. Kabisi is beaming from ear to ear as his enemy suffers yet another setback, but that doesn’t mean Nkosiyabo is dead and buried as CEO…
