Will Sne ever be able to move on after a tragic event?
Soon-to-be mom Sne (Nombulelo Mhlongo) has been to hell and back at the hands of her abusive husband Dr Dhlomo (Nyaniso Dzeze). And when she finally plucks up the courage to pack up and leave him, her mom (offscreen) talks her into going back to Dhlomo for the sake of her baby. “Sne was in a very bad place because by now everyone knows that she’s a victim of abuse. She feels exposed, vulnerable and naked, but most of all she feels ashamed,” says Nombulelo. “However, Sne is forced to think twice after she’s asked to consider how her child’s life would pan out if she leaves Dhlomo,” adds the actress.
This ultimately leads to Sne putting her child before herself and returning to the manipulative Dhlomo. But he has more plans for his wife: He wants to isolate her from the people who love and care for her and who want her to get out of the toxic marriage.
A FRIENDSHIP FRAYED
While Sne is excited about her pregnancy, her best friend Phumeza (Tsidi Makitle) sees Dhlomo’s true colours and the monster hiding under the façade he puts up. The incident that takes place – watch for yourself – is just what Dhlomo needs to turn
Sne against her one true friend.
“Phumeza sees Dhlomo for who he really is when he threatens to hurt Sne and somewhat physically harms her. Phumeza realises she can’t help Sne, so she opts to no longer involve herself. But with her friend deciding to keep her distance, Sne has never felt lonelier and this causes her to cling more to Dhlomo,” says Nombulelo.
A TRAGIC END
After losing his temper yet again with Sne, Dhlomo beats her within an inch of her life. Sne is admitted at Durban General where she receives the worst news of her life. Did Dhlomo just kill their unborn child with his ruthless ways? “Because of Dhlomo’s actions she loses the one thing that’s dearest to her. She’s surrounded by solitude now and the only question that remains for Sne is if there will be a life for her after she just lost everything.”

Agatha danced with the devil and got burnt, the gossip in the hospital was Thabo and Thandekile’s newfound relationship, and Nomalanga faced her mortality.
IN THIS ISSUE
Lindelani learns that karma always comes back to bite you, Phumeza and Sibiya disagree on having a baby, and Agatha learns that she doesn’t have any more financial problems after she gets her hands on her son Sibusiso’s estate. The Sibiyas are excited to have a baby, and there’s chaos at the hospital. Agatha buys her soul back from the devil, and Nomalanga can’t afford any more setbacks. Mbali doesn’t know where her future is going to lead her, and Bhengu runs out of the Durban General ward crying and decides to do blood tests to pinpoint what exactly is wrong with him.
Nomalanga doesn’t think that she can carry on working at the hospital, Sihle feels confrontational about lies she’s been told, and Lindelani teaches Dhlomo how to pick on someone his own size. Phumeza has good news but feels like this isn’t the best of times to share it, and the staff at Durban General are left shocked and saddened by Nomalanga’s announcement. Dhlomo may just be on the verge of getting fired thanks to Lindelani, it’s celebration time for the interns as they get their freedom, and Matron Nkabinde is moving up.
