Abednego is heartbroken over Ayo’s pregnancy announcement, Ayo starts building a relationship with her mother-in-law Mary, and Ayo’s reaction shocks Gabriel when he tells her the truth about his dark past. It’s the HOG kids’ lucky day as “Father Christmas” Yanga continues his spending spree… until he’s caught out, and Mary accuses Mncedisi of stealing from her, but when she figures out the truth she’s going to back Yanga into a corner. Zakwe suggests that Yanga try gambling when he has to get his hands on a lot of cash in a flash, and Esther becomes jealous of Makwande’s new fling Zoleka.
Makwande is walking on air after a night out with Zoleka, only to be brought back to Earth with a thump, and Esther tracks down another suspect who might’ve leaked her nudes. Relations between Pastor Abiola and Sarah reach boiling point, Zakwe and Yanga scramble for the money they owe Mary, and Mncedisi becomes the victim of a leak. Abednego is still reeling over losing Gabriel and decides to steal from the Lebedevs, and Violence strikes HOG and the frightened children and caretakers have to come to terms with a new death. Mary meanwhile races to hide all trace of her illegal activities as the cops descend on HOG.
