Savvy, focused and funny – that is the best description for Jules Shade (Jordyn Negri, Hanna in the kids’ series Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures) in fun drama series Private Eyes. If you can’t place her, Jules is the prohockey player-turned-private investigator Matt Shade’s (Jason Priestley, Wayne in the comedy series Raising Expectations) daughter. Solving cases is Matt’s job with his partner Angela Everett (Cindy Sampson, Nicole Keating the drama series The Bold Type), but when Matt’s at home, he loves to spend time with his daughter who is just like him: a bit of a hothead with a good heart.
1 Like her character, Jordyn has eye-sight issues and she’s worn contact lenses since she was 15.
2 The 21-year-old started her life in showbiz as a dancer – she’s been performing since she was six. When she turned 13, she switched her focus and became a competitive cheerleader, then an actress.
3 Jordyn is also a singer and she performed in the backup choir on Canadian rapper Classified’s 2013 single called Inner Ninja.
4 The Canadian actress trained with the Canadian National Institute For The Blind to make sure that her performance as Jules was authentic. “I don’t want viewers to feel like I’m not doing justice to the character, nor do I want to insult the visually impaired,” she says.
5 Jordyn’s hobbies include reading, photography and travelling. Her Instagram page is full of trips to Italy, Portugal, Nashville Tennessee and Treasure Island, Florida.
