MORE OHANA
Besides the silky sexy tropical backdrop of Hawaii and garage after garage full of gleaming new Ferraris on the screen, there is something else that’s made this reboot such a hit: the spirit of togetherness… known as “ohana” in Hawaiian culture.
“There’s a bit of escapism, we are out in Hawaii and we have these amazing locations and a wonderful car. The Ferrari is kind of like a character itself,” says Jay. “Now four seasons in, audiences have come to bond with these characters and to an extent,
I feel like the audience thinks we’re part of their family.” And the characters’ camaraderie adds to the feel-good vibe. “It’s about this group of friends who really get on well. There’s no fighting, there’s no arguing – everything comes together and we have a great time onscreen and off. We have ohana,” says Jay.
