The hospital board announces its new Head Of Surgery, Jack and Calvin receive good news but their happiness is cut short, and Sibiya is thrilled about his date night with Phumeza. Jack and Calvin reach an all-time low in their relationship, Phumeza blames Sibiya when their children turn her office into a playground, and Jack finally listens to Calvin and agrees to seek help. Sibiya gets an eye-opening warning when he realises that money makes the world go round, Jack and Calvin get the bad end of the stick, and Sibiya’s interview goes pear-shaped.
Jack struggles with the news that she’s miscarried, Sibiya has found himself a side hustle, and Jack gives up her dreams of having a family. Bhengu feels guilty for giving away infomartion that he shouldn’t have, and Thandekile rubs Bhengu the wrong way. Phumeza is doubtful about Sibiya’s side hustle, and instead of helping Phumeza with domestic duties, Sibiya’s toxic masculinity forces him to stay in a job that he hates. Jack meanwhile has a difficult time separating her private life from her professional life and it takes its toll on her when she can least afford it.
