The church minister seems to be the star of the show as Thando and Mbali have sets their sights on him and compete to win his heart, and Nomusa refuses to sell Emsamo and tells the staff that things will proceed as normal. Lindiwe is furious when Thu Sheleni ends their arrangement, a rat wreaks havoc at Emsamo, and Nomusa and Thu Sheleni have a heated argument about rodent drama but worse is to come!
Thando discovers that Mbali had dinner with Bhekisisa and vows to ask him out directly, and Phakade encourages Bhekisisa to date again. Nomusa is crushed when Thu Sheleni harshly criticises her business skills in front of everyone, Nirupa helps Thando in getting some quality time with Bhekisisa, and Bhekisisa has to drive Mbali home after she ends up spraining her ankle. Bhekisisa accepts a lunch and dinner invitation extended by both Mbali and Thando, not realising that there could be a problem on the horizon, and Mbali is really upset when Bhekisisa tells her that he wants to keep their relationship private. Lindiwe takes a job as a waitress at Emsamo as she is now stuck between a rock and a hard place, but she still worries about her reputation.
