Maria Barnard (85) from Delmas, Mpumalanga

“If I have to choose between pizza and hamburgers, I prefer burgers,” she says, because her son hunts and he makes his own patties. And Maria likes to build her own burger and put on whatever she prefers. At Col’Cacchio, she will “definitely try a pasta” and also treat herself to a nice dessert. “I enjoy everything in the tvplus, I only struggle a little with the actors at the bottom of the pages in the magazine where the background is black and the letters are printed very small,” she says. “I have all the tvpluses, from when it started in 1999 (I think). In Covid, I only missed two magazines that weren’t available.”

Editor’s note: Thanks Maria, we’ll see if we can make actor names more readable, they just take up so much space. But maybe a different background makes a difference. I’ll see if our layout artist can wave her wand. And yes, with the first restriction it was decided that some magazines may not be distributed because they were not seen as “news and essential items”. We only had those editions available online.

“I prefer a pizza to a hamburger any day, and Col’Cacchio is one of the reasons why I crave pizza – it’s one of my top restaurants to go to, so this gift card is a great prize. I enjoy all of tvplus’s content, love all of tvplus, but I especially love the blockbuster crossword competitions and the other puzzle games.”

“I prefer pizza because it’s bigger than a hamburger,” says Sarel. Unfortunately, there is no Col’Cacchio in Ermelo, but he will store his gift card safely until he can use it. “And then I’ll order a seafood pizza. I enjoy the blockbusters and puzzles – they keep me busy.”

Wessel Strydom (66) from Uvongo, KwaZulu-Natal

“I can’t choose between hamburgers and pizzas – I love them both! I’m going to use my voucher to get a Bologna or Prostituto pizza,” says Wessel. “I love the programme previews and the What’s Next teaser section the most.”
