Mbali sabotages Thando’s meal that she cooked for Bhekisisa by drenching the food in chilli, Nokuzola takes photos of Zakithi’s documents, and Nkululeko gets no answers when he questions the orphanage matron about Makhosazana and baby Nozi. Nkululeko reveals to MaNdlovu that Makhosazana may have kidnapped baby Nozi and took her to the orphanage, Thando is left humiliated after Bhekisisa refuses to eat anymore of her food, and just when things were starting to go well at Emsamo, a new disaster strikes.
Nomusa finally caves in and agrees to sell Emsamo after the latest setback, and a furious Thando confronts Mbali when she realises what Mbali did and the two women have a heated argument. Poppie blames Nomusa for their plight, Nirupa tells Thando to follow rules from a book in order to get her man with her dignity intact, and Zakithi is given a strange warning from one of the board members. The Bhengus negotiate inhlawulo for Sibongile, and Bhekisisa is shamed into leaving the church meeting early after Thando and Mbali show up.
