Khumo approaches James with a business proposal regarding MMC and it’s going to change everything, explains Seneo. “Khumo’s suggestion is that they bring the Motsamai clan together and turn MMC into MC, dropping the royal Mukwevhos and their name from the company. She assures James about the possibility of this happening because she is buying Tenda’s (Nat Ramabulana) 40% shares of the company, which will leave the Motsamais with 60%… and majority. This proposal leaves everyone reeling with shock,” Seneo explains. But there is something bigger in store for the board when Khumo pulls them in for an emergency meeting.
“Khumo wants to take over as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company, replacing Gugu (Bukamina Cebekhulu), with the promises that she’s going to turn the company around to profitability, where Gugu has failed so far. Khumo also points out that the loss that the company is making is 100% Gugu’s fault as an underperforming and underqualified COO,” says Seneo. “And Gugu’s personal problems aren’t going unnoticed – Khumo makes sure that the MMC board know that she’s the perfect (sane) person to be COO.”
