Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Showdown
Season 1 National Geographic (*181) 21:00 Lifestyle
Gordon Ramsay has been barking insults in his kitchen and conjuring up delicious meals for decades now on our screens, but on his new reality cooking show we get to see the fiery Scotsman come up against familiar faces that’ll force him to bring his A-game.
On this spin-off of travel show Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, Gordon is tasked with going head-to-head with his former pupils on their home turf. First up will be Paul Ainsworth, a protégé of Gordon’s who’s made a name for himself on the Jurassic coast of England cooking up seafood dishes using local ingredients. His next challenger will be another kitchen counterpart in Matt Waldron, an award-winning Welsh chef who invites Gordon to Wales to explore the mountain ranges, the countryside and coastline, and ultimately try and beat Gordon so that the student now becomes the master chef.
For the final showdown, Gordon and his team head down to Costa Rica with a very special guest: Tilly Ramsay, a multi-BAFTA Awardnominated CBBC cooking show star, cookbook author and Gordon’s own daughter. You’ll be hard pressed to say that she doesn’t have the upperhand against her seasoned father. “Dad and I have always been competitive, and I think he really does underestimate me. I really can’t wait to show him that I have my own style now and I’ll prove that to him on the big cook,” Tilly boasts.
