Like the David Hodges case, where a former colleague was framed, this season Joshua’s past will come into the light and haunt him. “We get a snapshot of Joshua’s background and previous influences that’ve affected his attitudes, perspectives and behaviour,” explains Matt, who will take his character into the past to rescue the present. “We see Josh having to reach out to an old friend for a favour, but this person might not be on the right end of the law.” Matt adds that “Joshua brings him in, it’s a little bit of a risk, and I think, a misstep to bring him in to help. It becomes sort of letting a wolf into the hen house kind of scenario and that blows up.”
