TUT’S TOXIC TOMB SEASON 1
Palaeoanthropologist Ella Al-Shamahi explores the gripping science behind the so-called Mummy’s Curse that’s believed to have struck prominent members of Howard Carter’s expedition after they opened the tomb of King Tutankhamun (while leaving their Egyptian crew unharmed). Find out where the idea of a curse first originated, what really caused the mysterious deaths of each of the expedition members – sometimes years after the tomb was opened – and what science says about the possibility of the tomb or its ancient artefacts giving off toxic fumes.
Watch Tut’s Toxic Tomb Season 1 from Friday 18 November at 21:00 on National Geographic and on Catch Up.
