The world of a superhero is full of adventure and heroics, but what about the world of a supervillain, or a supervillain family? Well, if you’re the Madden family in the brand-new kids’ comedy show The Villains Of Valley View, life was great when they were part of the villain group called The League Of Villains led by the evil Onyx (Steve Blum, voice of Adado in the animation series Ultraman). But after an altercation involving Onyx, mom-villain Eva, aka the electricity manipulating Surge (Lucy Davis,
Macy in the comedy series Better Things), and her eldest daughter Amy, aka the sonic power wielding Havoc (Isabella Pappas, Charlotte in the limited series Finding Alice), the Madden family go on the run and settle in the small town of Valley View, Texas. And their biggest challenge? To be a normal, good family, living ordinary lives.
“I’ve enjoyed playing a villain who isn’t so much worried about the consequences of everything,” laughs actress Lucy when talking about her role, adding that it is something new and different for her.
Reed Horstmann (Travis Blake in the short film Cattle Call) who plays her older brother Jake, aka super strong Chaos, says there are epic stunts on the show. “We have an amazing stunt team that are there to make sure we’re doing everything safely. For Jake, a lot of his stuff is strength-based which are all practical, so everything I’m lifting,
I’m lifting in real life,” he says.
