SAKABULA GOLF CLUB

-

Abusy few days at Sakabula as we hosted an enthusiastic group from Clifton Prep, with dads, teachers and boys playing their favourite game and enjoying the course.

The Meercats finally got to go on their golf tour, which was originally planned for April but had to be postponed due to lockdown, and we welcomed their players from all over the country.

Starting with a Sakabula breakfast and ending the day with a braai, they were pleased with their decision to re-arrange and not cancel their original plans. We thank them for their continued support throughout the years.

The weekend was hot, but nothing stops a golfer looking for a game! Given that summer seems to be here now, our weekend opening time has reverted back to 7am, while weekdays remain 8am.

We are looking forward to some summer rains, which mostly occur in the afternoons after the heat of the day has built up.

Our records show that the rainfall for this month has been quite a bit less than in previous years, so we hope that good rains come soon.

The Sakabula Senior Men play their game on a Monday starting at 8am and visitors are welcome to join them. Saturday mornings are when our regular club competitions are played and once again visitors with a valid handicap are invited to participate.

Bookings are advised, especially if carts are required as these get reserved quickly.
