HARVARD ELECTRICAL: A DECADE OF EXCELLENCE

“We started off in a tiny shop in the opposite corner of the building from where we are now, and thanks to great support from the local community, within six months we had outgrown the space and had to move to the bigger shop next door.”

Initially, it was just he and Shane Maharaj: today, there are nine staff – and Harvard Electrical now occupies not one, not two, but four shops, the fourth being a light and airy showroom. You’ll find a wide range of diverse products at competitiv­e

prices, and a wonderful selection of lighting, from outdoor to interior; light bulbs of every size and descriptio­n, as well as ceiling and standard fans.

Harvard Electrical Wholesaler­s also offers domestic, industrial and commercial electrical supplies (circuit breakers, cables, plugs, switches, sockets, etc) and DIY electrical tools and accessorie­s.

“Our customers come from across the Midlands and from as far afield as the Drakensber­g.

“We have regular clients from local industries,who have been buying all their electrical supplies from us for years, and others who have been with us from day one, when we first opened our doors,” said Sadiq.

Contractor­s, he added, also enjoy bringing their clients to the Harvard Electrical showroom and sitting down with their catalogues to choose what they want.

“We believe in offering excellent customer service, and our products, which are manufactur­ed both locally and internatio­nally, are fully compliant with recognised safety standards and specificat­ions.

“We purchase from reputable suppliers like Bright Star Lighting, Radiant, Eurolux, SPAZIO, Pioled, South Ocean Cables, Crabtree, Ellies, Flash Components, Hellermann­Tyton, to name just a few.”
