Howick High School welcomed the Class of 2020 as they returned to campus on 23 February 2021 to collect their matric results statements and it was with joy and pride that we congratulated them on their achievements.
A pass rate of 97% was achieved with 88 of the 91 candidates achieving their National Senior Certificates and 79.1% achieving a Bachelor’s degree pass.
Our top achieving pupils were:
Georgia Harvey (pictured) with five distinctions; Daniel Wing - four distinctions Yuvaan Kalipersad, Lwethu Mpangase, Abigail Shaw – three distinctions
This class, more than any in recent years, had to endure such uncertainty and upheaval yet they have shown tremendous tenacity and strength to complete their final year at High School.
We wish the Class of 2020 every success in their future - Age Quod Agis! these, thank you Drummond family! The paddling was fantastic. The river was fairly high so the team pushed through to Moor Park picnic site beyond the bridge.
We portaged around the 5m waterfall at the Pool of Africa and covered a total of 15km.
Apart from having a good time in white water, these are also opportunities to enjoy the more remote parts of the province where the natural beauty cannot be overstated. #thetrevertonexperience #bebrave #becourageous
