Umgeni Waterfall Bowling Club

The past week has been very quiet on the greens, due to the adverse weather and heavy rain on many days.

AN INVITATION is extended to all members, past and present, of Umgeni Waterfall Bowling Club, to join the Brook family in a celebration of the life of the late Barbara Brook. This will take place on Saturday, 6 March, from 4pm.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS FOR MARCH Saturday, 6 March at 1.30pm: Greendale SuperSpar-sponsored competition. Dress for members: club colours.

Wednesday, 10 March at 1.30pm: Halfway Toyota-sponsored competition.

Tuesday, 16 March at 8.30am: J Leslie Smith-sponsored 2-4-2 competition. Pre-entry required.

Sunday, 21 March (Human Rights Day): An all-day trips tournament sponsored by the stores at St John’s Lifestyle Centre. We invite bowlers from all affiliated clubs to enter a team. Further details will be sent to competition secretaries of all clubs that fall under the auspices of NIBA.

Friday, 26 March at 8.30am: Woodstone Craft Café 2 Bowls trips. Pre-entry required.

GENERAL: Coaching available on request by our registered coaches, Colin & Bernice Burden. Contact 033 239 2251 (evenings).

Regular play as per usual. Wednesday (dress casual) and Saturday (dress whites) play at 1. 30pm. Please be at the club by 1.15pm at the latest. Play on Tuesdays starts at 8.30am. Please be at the club by 8.15am at the latest. Members are reminded to please check notice boards for internal competitions.
