RACE THE MIDMAR - VIRTUALLY

In the Covid-19 era, ‘virtual racing’ has become the new catchphrase, and the aQuellé Midmar Mile will also embrace this type of entry for its 48th edition in 2021, in addition to normal entries.

While the event has done everything possible to ensure all participants can swim in the event this year, for some it is simply not possible.

This could be down to not being able to travel, dates that conflict, or perhaps there are just no funds to get down to KZN.

The organisers want to make sure that every swimmer can in some way take part in the event and so in association with sponsor 30 South, we are proud to launch the VIRTUAL aQuellé Midmar Mile!

Happening on 13 and 14 March, you can take part anywhere in the world, and in doing so, register an official 2021 time. You can swim in a pool, the ocean, or a dam/river, as long as you are in line with all current COVID-19 restrictions, and complete a full mile (1,6km).

The VIRTUAL aQuellé Midmar Mile event will offer entrants three different options to choose from:

Basic entry R90, which will include a printable and personalised official aQuellé Midmar Mile completion certificate.

Medal entry R250, which will include our 2021 medal and a printable and personalised official aQuellé Midmar Mile completion certificate. (A postage fee will be applied to entrants outside South Africa.)

Full entry R490, which will include our 2021 medal, our 2021 aQuellé Midmar Mile Glodina towel, and a printable and personalised official aQuellé Midmar Mile completion certificate. (Only available to South African entrants.)
