PIETERMARI­TZBURG GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL

Andiswa Mbanjwa, a pupil at Pietermari­tzburg Girls High School, has been selected for the South African Schools netball team.

She was also identified as one of the top 35 players at the recent Telkom Junior Tournament in Boksburg. Congratula­tions on this fine achievemen­t.

Epworth School’s current and past pupils did exceptiona­lly well in the recent Fish River Canoe Marathon. They swept the U18 women’s category, with pupils in the top three spots, and their Epworthian­s dominated the U23 category. Check out these results:

U18 Women

U23 Women

Over the weekend of October 8-10, five of Hilton College Grade 11 water polo players -Tanner Bailey, Cameron Gray, Oliver Lello, Jack Waterhouse and Benji Watt - attended the

South African U17 trials in Durban and equipped themselves admirably. Congratula­tions to Oliver, Jack

Women

• 3. Jordan Peek (Epworthian) and her partner, Pippa McGregor (Epworthian)

7. Kim Peek and Lorna Oliver (Epworth coaches) - first in sub-master category.

Men

• 8. Murray Starr (former Epworth Prep pupil) and his partner, Stewart Little.

• and Benji for being selected as non-travelling reserves for the SA U17 Men’s Team. Congratula­tions to both the U15A and U14A water polo teams who won the trophy for the best-combined results at the KZN Top Ten Water Polo Festival. The U14A team came first, the U15A team second and the 1st team fifth.
