The isiZulu first additional language Grade 8 and 11 girls represented St Anne’s at the isiZulu Day Celebration at St Nicholas in Pietermaritzburg. the Nile, pyramids and a way of life far removed from that of ours today.

This annual event enables pupils from the participating schools to prepare performances in isiZulu in celebration of the language, culture and history. After the performances often humorous, jingles.
They then participated in a fun treasure hunt and had to crack a hieroglyphic code.
Finally, they feasted on Egyptian foods at beautifully decorated tables in the dining room. they share supper together.
It is wonderful to have this very special event back on the school calendar again after Covid-19.
