KZN TRAIL Running HOSTS UMNGENI

-

The uMngeni River Run, which is turning 10 this year, is not only KZN Trail Running’s longest-standing event, but also one of the best-value trail running ultras in the country.

Taking place the WESSA uMngeni Nature Reserve in Howick on Sunday, August 21, the route includes large portions of the stunning Hilton College estate, linking two of the most popular bushveld venues in the Midlands to make up the 75km and 50km courses.

The organisers describe the uMngeni River Run as a “no-frills, no-fuss” event which takes runners back to the basics of trail running.

The event is also perfectly positioned as a training run for those lining up the Karkloof 100/50 Miler later in the year.

Racers can choose from 12km, 25km, 50km and 75km trails. Entry ranges from R170 to R530 depending on the length, with start times at 5am, 6am, 7am, and 7.30am.

There will be a KidZone available, great coffee, and chat.
