SPCA’S Shining STARS
Pupils from Laddsworth Primary School in Hilton have helped boost the coffers of the local SPCA branches.
Rather than just asking for money, the Laddsworth Pupils had the goal of collecting cash by offering to do jobs around the house in exchange for money.
The top two classes were 3H and 4K and the youngsters were rewarded for their efforts with a delicious cake donated by the Hilton Quarry SuperSpar.
Renee Karssing, spokesperson for the Hills 1 000 Paws Walk, said: “Our heartfelt thanks to Laddsworth School and all the other schools featured in last week’s Village
Talk.
“Laddsworth collected a substantial amount in our SPCA tin collection drive and we are most grateful to them. Thank you for your ongoing support.”
The money raised from the Hills 1 000 Paws Walk will be split between the uMngeni-Howick, Pietermaritzburg and Mooi River SPCAs.
