The start of the sixth round of league games saw 48 players taking to the green on Saturday afternoon. The men’s 1st league team lost narrowly to Lynwood but the men’s third league side and the ladies won their games against Howick. Well done!

The Rotunda Beach/Parklane Butchery and La popote sponsored trips, played on Friday last week, were won by Hugh Barr, Denise von Mayer and Egon von Mayer. They received Rotunda Beach vouchers.

The runners-up were Anton Leisegang, Debbie Elliott and Andy Hitchcock (generous meat packs), while Dave Garrard, Margie Garrard and Mike Lowell went home with La Popote vouchers for finishing third.

• Saturday, September 9: Seventh round of league games. Men’s 1st team playing Howick at home and ladies playing Lynwood at home at 1pm.

Visitors and prospective new bowlers are very welcome. Tabs in is on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1.15pm. The dress code is casual on Tuesday and Thursday with club colours or whites on Saturdays. Please note there will only be two rinks available on Saturday due to league.
