UMGENI WATERFALL BOWLNG CLUB

-

League has started again! On Saturday, September 3, both our men’s and ladies teams faced strong opposition, with the men playing against Wartburg and our ladies against Maritzburg West.

Unfortunately we ended up shots down on the day, but the losses certainly don’t reflect the games. We can confidently say that we made the opposition work hard for their wins.

On Sunday, September 4 bowlers took part in the NIBA Mixed Fours at Maritzburg in the Park. Steve Smith, Lisa Nagel, Pippa Griffin and Wendy Smith represented UWBC and once again managed to keep the opposition on their toes.

Despite what felt like mid-summer heat, it was a fabulous day and we’re proud of our team performance.

Well done to all our league bowlers and we’re looking forward to the next round on Saturday, September 10.

A quick mention of our ‘road trippers’, who spent last week at The Nest in the Drakensberg. Everybody had an amazing time and learnt so much from two incredible coaches. We’re definitely looking forward to starting some of the training methods on our home greens!
