UMGENI WATERFALL BOWLING CLUB

-

There have been so many things going on at the club that it’s difficult to know where to start. On September 24, the club hosted its annual Warwick Wealth sponsored day which saw quite full greens on a beautiful spring day.

The afternoon was enjoyed by all, and congratulations go to Bruce Tucker who won, as well as Calvin Anderson and Darlene Ferreira who came second and third respectively.

The monthly JLS Drawn 2-4-2 competition was held on September 27, where Derrick Balfour and Bruce Tucker won the day.

On September 30, members played the first SG Knott Construction sponsored 2 bowl trips competition. This will now be a monthly competition played on the last Friday of every month.

A lot of fun and laughter could be heard coming from the greens. The winners this month were Mike Hill, Rowena Muir and Ann Monarch. Thank you to Shayne Knott of SG Knott Construction for a fantastic day.

On Saturday, October 1 the men’s league team played against Maritzburg Bowling Club; one team won their game and one team lost, earning us with three and a half points over all for the day. Well done to all the men who played.
