BEARDOS ARE HEROES

Agroup of bearded heroes are hot to trot as part of their fundraising campaign for Midlands Hospice and Operation Bobby Bear.

The Nottingham Road Beardos - Grevin Price, John Larter, Sven Turner, Rolfe Bettison and Erhard Breet, Andrew Pickles, Bryce Jooste, Nick March, Miles March, Denzil Ulyate and Stuart Vanderlinden - will be first at the start line for the Notties Beardos Box Trot Race, which starts at 5pm on Friday, October 21 at the Nottingham Road Hotel.

The event marks the sixth month stage of the group’s fundraising campaign, which sees them avoiding razors for a year to grow their facial hair.

The big shave-off takes place on April 22 2023, so diarise that date for even more fun and games.

Entry to the Box Trot is R100 which also gets you a wors roll and a beer. There will be other food and drink specials, as well as prizes.
