ADVICE ON FAMILY HISTORY RESEARCH
At this month’s meeting of the KwaZulu-Natal Family History Society and the Natal Midlands branch of the Genealogical Society of South Africa members will be exploring alternative ways to get information.
Mark Coghlan will be discussing what to do when documents are destroyed by fire, mislaid, lost or simply inaccessible.
During the talk he will suggest what alternate routes are available to find information and how to deal with oral sources who clam up.
The meeting will take place at 9.30am on Saturday, November 5 at the Hilton Library in Hilton Avenue.
Visitors are welcome and coffee and tea will be available after the meeting.
